Trump Nominated for Nobel Peace Prize

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for what has been described as his "extraordinary and historic role" in brokering a ceasefire between Iran and Israel.

The nomination was submitted by Republican Congressman Buddy Carter, who credited Trump with helping to end the so-called "12-day war" between the two nations.

In a letter to the Nobel Peace Prize Committee, Carter praised Trump’s leadership, claiming it was instrumental in de-escalating the conflict.

“His leadership helped bring an end to the armed conflict between Israel and Iran and prevented the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism from acquiring the deadliest weapons on the planet,” Carter wrote.

This marks yet another Nobel Peace Prize nomination for Trump.

Just three days earlier, Pakistan formally recommended the former U.S. president for the same honor, citing his “decisive diplomatic intervention” in the recent flare-up between India and Pakistan.
