Massive Drone Strike Hits Dozens of Russian Regions: Over 300 UAVs Downed, Historic Sevastopol Masterpiece Destroyed

On the morning of June 10, dozens of Russian regions came under a massive attack. The military shot down 326 drones over 19 regions, the Krasnodar Territory, Crimea, and the Black Sea.

The raid forced the closure of nine airports, including the aviation hubs of Sochi, Kazan, and Samara.

Sevastopol suffered the heaviest damage. A drone pierced the roof of the "Defense of Sevastopol 1854–1855" panorama building, sparking a severe fire.

Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev assessed the losses: "It is already clear that Franz Roubaud's great masterpiece has been practically destroyed." T

he canvas, measuring 115 meters in length and covering over 1,500 square meters, was created at the beginning of the last century. It features more than four thousand figures.

The painting previously caught fire during the Great Patriotic War, but rescuers managed to salvage 86 fragments back then, completely restoring the monument by 1954.

Cheboksary was hit by a missile strike, leaving three people injured.

The Head of Chuvashia, Oleg Nikolaev, clarified: "The victims' lives are not in danger. One has already been discharged and sent home."

A team of medics and psychologists is on standby at Cheboksary School No. 57. The missile threat in the republic has been lifted, but the risk of further drone attacks remains.

In the Samara region, drones struck several industrial facilities, leaving three people injured.

Amid the attacks, Crimea altered its passenger train schedule. Trains will now only run during the day.

Head of the Republic Sergey Aksyonov explained the logic behind the decision: "Eight pairs of trains across 10 routes will travel through the Republic of Crimea during daylight hours, from 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM.

The remaining six pairs of trains across 10 routes that travel to Crimea at night will now terminate at the Kerch-Yuzhnaya railway station."

Passengers are shuttled by buses from this station to their final destinations.

In the Rostov region, drone debris ignited a fuel tank in the Millerovsky district. Authorities temporarily evacuated residents of nearby houses and patients of a nursing home.

The fire has since been extinguished, and the evacuees have returned. A forest fire also broke out in the Sholokhovsky district.

Two infrastructure facilities caught fire in the Vladimir region, while falling debris damaged communication equipment in the Voronezh region. Twelve drones heading toward Moscow were shot down on approach. The capital, along with the Tula and Smolensk regions, reported no casualties or structural damage.
