Sean Knight Nicholson, the 29-year-old grandson of actor Jack Nicholson, was arrested in Los Angeles on August 5 on suspicion of felony domestic violence, according to official arrest records.
Nicholson, who also goes by the name Sean Norfleet, was booked at around 5 p.m. and released later the same day on a $50,000 bond, authorities confirmed. Police allege that he attacked a woman; his court appearance is scheduled for August 26 in Los Angeles. A felony conviction in such a case can carry a sentence of up to four years in state prison. The LAPD’s Pacific Division said they would not be releasing a booking photo.
Public records show no prior criminal history for Nicholson, who is the son of Jennifer Nicholson — the Hollywood icon’s first child, born in 1963 during his marriage to actress Sandra Knight.
Sean describes himself on Instagram as a composer specializing in horror, experimental club, hardcore, dark ambient, and phonk music. He has a few IMDb credits and also performs as a DJ under the name Cutter Mattock. His social media features gothic-themed imagery, dark artwork, and photographs of himself in distinctive attire, including one wearing an Iron Cross necklace — a decoration with pre-World War II German origins that was later adopted by the Nazi regime.
Jack Nicholson, 88, has six children and at least five grandchildren, including Sean’s brother Duke Nicholson, an actor. Jennifer Nicholson had her two sons with ex-husband Mark Norfleet. The Oscar-winning actor also has children with Susan Anspach, Winnie Hollman, and Rebecca Broussard, and a daughter, Tessa Gourin, with Jennine Gourin.
Nicholson has largely retreated from public life in recent years. His last public appearance was in February at the SNL50: The Anniversary Special in New York, where he was photographed with his daughter Lorraine.
